The Tourism Development Department in collaboration with the Islamic Da'wah Centre, Ministry of Religious Affairs conducted a sharing session on the rules and basic understanding of Islamic practices. The session was attended by 35 registered and licensed tour guides under the Tourism Development Department.

Apart from increasing the participants' understanding and awareness on basic Islamic practices and the basic principles of Syaria law in the country, the session was also held to help licensed tour guides convey accurate, prudent and appropriate information in performing their duties.

The topics highlighted during the session included prayer, fasting and ablution as well as the basic principles of Syaria criminal law in the country. The session took place at the Islamic Da'wah Centre, Kampung Pulaie.
